Workshop capability
Degreasing, HCl pickling, and phosphate pretreatment for reliable powder adhesion.
Why it matters
Powder coating will not bond properly to dirty, oily, or rusty metal. The chemical pretreatment line — degreasing, acid pickling, and phosphating — is what makes the difference between a coating that lasts and one that peels or lifts.
Typical applications
Workshop workflow
The part is submerged in a degreasing tank to remove cutting oils, fingerprints, and surface contaminants.
The part moves to the acid tank where rust, mill scale, and oxidation are removed from the metal surface.
A thin phosphate layer is applied to the cleaned surface, providing a key for powder adhesion and additional corrosion resistance.
